Deveshi Halder has been singing with Pratidhwani, Brishti (Seattle’s Bengali fusion band) & Rhythms Band as a vocalist. She believes music has no language barrier, and has been performing in Hindi, Bengali, English, Odiya, Tamil and Malayalam languages too. She got the first-runner up position in all around US-Canada competition “Meri Awaz Suno America”-2018 & state winner position International Indian Icon – 2018.
With a belief “Music is my Religion”, She has been learning music since the age of six. Her father is a tabla player and her mother is a sitar player. Being from a family where music is always a priority, motivated her to pursue music. She got the opportunity to learn from various music gurus. Starting from pure classical music, She explored the genre of nazrul geet, rabindra sangeet and adhunik (Modern Bengali songs) too. The last music institution she attended was Kala Academy, Goa, where she got an opportunity to learn from Kirana gharana. She also has a degree certificate in Hindustani Classical music from Prayag and Chandigarh University.
